It was a double celebration for Vividha family. We said good bye to 2022 in style at Noida Chokhi Haveli in December. Since it was Christmas time, everyone was wearing red. We played games, won prizes and had lots of fun. Everyone was given annual gift which was liked by all the members.
We celebrated New Year by welcoming our new and existing members with chocolates and big smiles and hugs. Annual report was presented and the members were thanked for their continued support and love and co operation at all times. Be it COVID pandemic or the normal situation – our members have passion for life as their binding factor. Janak Bhatia recited a poem in Sanskrit welcoming the new year. It was beautiful. She also sang a soulful bhajan to begin the New Year programme.
Indira Kochhar spoke about why we celebrate Makar Sankranti and Lohri. She makes it very interesting every time when she speaks about the festivals. Some friends sang a patriotic song to celebrate Republic Day. The birthday ladies were wished well for the years to come.
And then came the moment for grand finale. The pious fire was lit for Lohri. After offerings of popcorn, rewari and peanuts, it was total dhamaal. Ladies were unstoppable. Taani, Renu, Anita, Indira , Uma , Nisha all were dancing and singing Punjabi folk songs.
We had to stop the celebration literally as the kachori aloo were getting cold. Hot jalebis and tea were much needed on a cold foggy day.
We shall be celebrating Basant Utsav in February with some competitions and lot of masti.
