Our 2nd Charity Bazaar was dedicated to the orphans of Delhi. The inception of our bazaar idea came from the famous colonial international markets held during the British Era.
The idea is simple, we take lightly used, unused or new clothes, accessories, shoes, home furnishing, house hold utensils, games, books and many more items throughout the year and hold one big bazaar. The proceeds of the sale are then sent to a single or multiple charitable organisations. This helps us reduce waste and achieve our recycling ideology and of course we end up helping the underprivileged as well. All in all, a total win win.
This year we held our event at The Arya Samaj Mandir, A Block New Friends Colony, on the 6th and 7th of May 2023 and we had a foot fall of about 200 people from all walks of life.
This bazaar, would’ve not been possible without the support of Rommel Jaggi & Arun Jaggi.
Our support staff worked tirelessly and seamlessly for over a few weeks to set it all up (Savita, Rajni, Vimla, Medha, Prakash, Shankar, Shalen, Ram and Saroj)
Our main heroes are our Donors who generously donated and with dignity. We were so impressed most of our donors had washed and ironed the garments before sending them to us.
Sonia Sarin Jain plans to host many such events in the coming year and hope to see active donations from our neighbours.
