S Block welfare society is lucky to have many generous donors, who keep on contributing various items, including cash contributions, all accounted for in a transparent way. That account ability perhaps is the main reason, why residents contribute to SBWS.
The last twenty days were noteworthy. Following residents contributed/donated the following items:
1.Sharmila Goel R/O S 473 contributed uniforms, trousers, shirts, ladies’ gowns, sarees, dupattas, attaché cases, clothing material, stationery items etc. All these items were distributed to the 14 staff members of SBWS, maids, drivers & construction workers on August 26. She also contributed a spraying pump machine on September 6.
2. Two pedestal fans were donated for our security huts by Preethi Nagpal (S-60) & Shalini Gupta (S 402FF)
3. A resident of S 446 donated a lot of excellent books; some volumes are bestsellers, to our library, located in the office of SBWS.
Our library boasts of a collection of around 1200 books as on date. Members are welcome to take these books on read & return basis. No questions asked even if the books are not returned. All books have been received through donations only. Library is so popular that residents from other adjoining blocks also contribute, donate & take books from here.
Every year, after the school exams are over, many text books of 10th & 12th Std. are also received. All are distributed to the children of members & needy persons.
4. 54 “putranjaya” plants were donated by Renu Adlakha r/o S 263 FF on September 7, to celebrate her birthday. SBWS team wished her a very happy B’Day & wished long life to her.
5. Vivek Rana of S 315, TF donated 12 potted plants to the park.
The M.C of SBWS is thankful to all the donors.
