On 11 Dec 2022, ATS Greens 1 conducted a donation drive with the support and collaboration of an NGO foundation. The drive started at 2:30 pm when residents submitted their donation items at the back gate of the society.
These efforts are well-appraised and appreciated by society residents, who demand more such initiatives in the future. This kind of activity helps residents recycle their unused items, which are available for a long time and possibly useful for the ones who need and their families. Residents affectionately donated non-essential items like cloth, plastic, newspaper and unused electronic equipment; it includes old cartons and books as well.
Electronic items need recycling suitable for the ecosystem and environment, and people donated the same; there were samples of unused batteries and e-waste, which have to be separately handled and best use as recycled and save the surroundings from getting polluted.
Residents shared their emotions and felt happy about donating their belongings and clothes to someone in most need during the winter season.
Residents also donated old books that will be re-read further, which will contribute to the progress of the ones who cannot afford, and develop their learning and understanding from these transferred books.
We are thankful to the foundation which repositions the material for recycling purposes; helps and supports the one who need and saves the environment.
