Should dogs be allowed in Parks? Are the Parks meant for elderly to walk, for children to play, to admire the flowers and lush green plants or for the Dogs to poop? Everyday, when we come to the C-Block to practice Yoga and start the day on a happy note, we have to face dog poop which is an ugly sight. The elderly have to be careful so as not to step on the poop because the dog walkers don’t even have the sense to carry poop scoop. The bigger parks have signboards of “Dogs not allowed in this park”. The small parks have to bear the brunt of this everyday nuisance. Why can’t we have a management group like Panchsheel Park where the dog owners and dog lovers take responsibility of managing strays and even pets and poops. It is high time this issue of dogs is addressed. One park or place should be assigned for the dogs to poop and at the same time a designated place to throw away the poop.
