Colours flying in the air, the sight of children throwing water balloons at each other, the smell of garam garam pakodas and the level of excitement on everyone’s faces! That is the true spirit
of Holi, which was embodied by the residents of Morpheus. The festival of colours is a day of togetherness and happiness!
Everyone was ecstatic to play Holi as a community after three years of social distancing. The reds, yellows, pinks and greens on everyone’s faces showed the vibrance and enthusiasm for the festival. There was a lot of dancing, on foot-tapping Holi songs, with kids and adults jumping and singing. Small tolis of children were roaming around the complex, strategising on how to with the ultimate Holi battle. Water balloons were flying from the balconies at non-stop rates.
Frequent breaks were taken to relish delicious golgappas, papdi chaat and pakodas from Chandi Chowk. Thandai and Gujiya were also served, as Holi staples. The morning ended with a rain dance, the cold water washing away layers of gulaal. The residents met up again with fresh faces and beaming smiles. Amazing food was eaten over candid conversation and impromptu dancing on the Desi dhol. The day ended as a splashing success!
