Around the 10th of December, Sapna Sehrawat of Nishwarth Seva Foundation, shared an MRI (brain) report of a young child, Rishal, from her NGO. The report findings suggested Meningitis and as per the doctors, surgery was needed to remove the fluid filling up in certain parts of the brain.
Upon sharing with the ladies’ community group, a lot of concerned ladies stepped up to monetarily contribute to the 11-year-old’s treatment. Rishal was admitted to Artemis Hospital & was advised to undergo a neurosurgery in the brain. The estimated expense for the surgery was 4 Lakhs rupees. When the message was circulated in more WhatsApp groups, Dr. Arpan Gandhi and Monica Ghai came to the rescue and examined it all with their medical expertise.
Fortunately, surgery was avoided and with the help of medicines, the boy has gained enough strength to be discharged and continue care at home and with regular follow-ups with the doctors. The monetary contributions that had been collected were used for his treatment.
