DLF-1 whatsapp groups rang in frenzy as Rahul Chandola, Prez H Block sent a message asking residents to look out for a missing boy. The 13 year old boy is a resident of H Block and an enthusiastic cricketer. He would usually go for his Cricket sessions to DLF-5 and then take an auto along with fellow mates who would further proceed to Sikanderpur.
On 25th January, after not coming home for a while from practice, the parents panicked and got in touch with the local RWA and through the local PS. Parents along with other well wishers including the RWA swung into action to figure out where the boy had gone!
CCTV cameras were looked at and the boy was seen walking on the Gurgaon Faridabad Road towards Qutub Plaza. After hitting the blind spot on this camera, everyone tried to find him on the Qutub Plaza Gate camera and the Gate No. 3 cameras but he was nowhere to be found.
HBRC took the ACP-DLF help who directed his team to look into this matter on priority. The cops were able to track the boys last phone location to Millennium City Centre metro station. The parents rushed to the metro area, he was nowhere to be found.
Tensed parents tried to speak with his friends at the Cricket academy but they had no clue either. His friends did however lead the parents to his laptop password which in turn helped them access his chat history where he had spoken to another friend from South City. Everyone finally found the number of the friend’s mother who confirmed that the child was with them. The parents, along with the investigating officer and his team rushed to their home and reunited with their child.
“HBRC would like to thank ACP DLF, SHO Phase 1 and DLF Security, for their support. Without their help, it would have not been possible to track the boy” says Rahul Chandola. HBRC also facilitated ACP-DLF Vikas Kaushik for proactive participation in finding the child.
