The Diya Daan event at Silver Oaks commenced on Nov 12 at 7:30 pm. The evening began with a soulful rendition of bhajans and songs that set the perfect Diwali mood. The board president, along with his wife, initiated the ceremony by lighting the first diya in front of the radiant idols of Laxmi ji and Ganesh ji, alongside the revered Tulsi plant. After that, the fellow residents enthusiastically joined in, and the warm glow of the diyas contributed to the luminosity of the entire community center. Following Diya Daan, a special surprise event was planned. In support of the Green Diwali campaign, the residents—children, adults, and senior citizens—joined hands and lit sky lanterns together to support a sustainable and eco-friendly Diwali celebration. The collective participation made the event even more special.
