In the spirit of Diwali, our Tower (Tower 14) came alive with festivity and togetherness during a vibrant party held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, organized by a few residents. This joyful gathering marked the third year of Diwali celebrations, following the enthusiastic responses to our previous events in 2021 and 2022.
Preparations began well in advance, with the talented ladies of our tower coming together four days before the event to create a beautiful ambiance with an intricate rangoli, colourful cutouts, and lively paintings.
Led by Smita, Somoshree, Atul, Nita, Shalini, Anu, Mrs. Mridula Bhalla, and the kids, the decorating team transformed our space into a vibrant, Diwali-themed space that set the perfect tone for the celebrations.
Nearly 100 residents of all ages gathered for the celebration, beginning with a lamp-lighting ceremony near the elaborate rangoli.
We took the opportunity to introduce and welcome our new residents. We also recognized the younger members of our community, who had enthusiastically contributed to the event. The kids were rewarded with chocolates for their efforts, and our budding sports stars were called onto the stage, with everyone cheering them on.
The High Tea spread was a treat, offering traditional snacks like Dhokla, Samosas, Jalebis, and hot Coffee and Tea, which everyone enjoyed over warm conversations and shared laughter.
One of the highlights of the evening was the karaoke entertainment, featuring lively performances by Sowmya, Vandana, Atul, Prabha, Anu, and Manpreet. Their enthusiastic singing filled the air and encouraged everyone to join in, adding to the fun and creating lasting memories.
This Diwali, we celebrated not only the festival of lights but also the friendship, creativity, and community spirit that unites our tower family and creates lasting memories.
