Ivy Diwali Party, the annual get together to celebrate the Festival of lights, was held on 15th October. The residents,across all age groups turned up in full festive fervour, decked in rich, luxuriant ethnics, colourful kurtas, vibrant silks and scintillating blouses.
Good food and live band is a given, this year the bacchas added their spark with a dance performance, giving full competition to the elders , who had the house swinging to soulful melodies. And then there was some Rola-Rappa, Some Addi- Tappa, thoda- thoda lac lachkalo, thoda thoda mauj manalo. It was lovely to see the elderly take to the dance floor, alongside the younger lot, shows the power of community celebrations, infecting all with Joie-de-vivre.
And the Surprise Punch to the Party was the Special Guest Shatrughan Sinha, the legendary actor of Khaamosh fame!
