The Forum for the Welfare of the Senior Citizens, GK-2, ushered in the festive spirit by holding a Diwali Milan (Diwali Get Together) at the forum premises on Saturday, 4th November‘23. The event was well organized and exuded bonhomie through the evening. Around 160 residents participated in the event that consisted of programs like Nukkad Natak (street play), group dance performances and Ramayan based Quiz session that were specially curated for the event by the forum members. The street play carried an emphatic message on the need to celebrate clean and green Diwali in a cost effective manner. The dance performances provided a glimpse of the various cultures across India while the Ramayan Quiz tested the participants‘ knowledge of one of our most glorious epics of all times. Each of the ten quiz winners received wax filled earthen lamps as their prizes. There was lucky draw too and the evening ended with a round of refreshments for everyone.
