Gulmohar clubs Diwali mela is now a well known affair that many people look forward to. The variety of stalls, food and gaiety is what draws footfalls for the organisers and the stall owners. Like every year this year too, the Diwali mela was a happening event at the Gulmohar center.
There were numerous stalls putting up exquisite sarees, jewelry, decorations and Diwali essentials. With the upcoming wedding season, the choice of handcrafted silk sarees was a delight for many visitors, myself included. The jewellery too was very elegant and affordable. The Diwali hampers at one of the stalls were so good that they were a sell out.
The game’s stalls drew a huge crowd of youngsters, who could be seen going for multiple tries to win. The food on offer was sumptuous to say the least. Fish, Chicken, Mutton delicacy in a variety of dishes were available for non-vegetarians. Chinese cuisine to Indian sweets to breads and brownies, everything was on offer to satiate your palate.
The comfortable seating arrangement for those who wished to sit and eat at leisure was also provided. It was a good meeting point too for residents to enjoy the festive fervor.
