This year all occasions are being celebrated with gusto, after 2-year break due to pandemic; so was it in Kailash Dham. Every year during Diwali Kailash Dham organises a diwali mela. And just like every year, Diwali Mela was organized this year as well, on 21 October, with all enthusiasm. The mela was complete with a dance floor and many stalls.
Keeping Diwali’s true spirit in mind, Kailash Dham complex was fully lit and festive. Diwali melas are one of the most fun components of the festival season. Mulitiple games and food stalls ensured no one sat ignored and bored. This year’s mela made up for the previous two that couldn’t take place due to the pandemic.
I went to the mela with my friend. We tried multiple games and ate delicious food, sometimes dancing to the familiar Bollywood tunes playing in the background. Later, on the dance stage, games were organized for the much younger kids. Half an hour after the mela started, it was full of people seen laughing, enjoying the food and having fun. Some people were only interested in the food, while there were others interested only in the games.
Many of those who attended with their families while others with their friends had this common that none missed the fun! It was a very well-organised event and there was place for everything. At the end of the day ever one left with a fond memory and an empty wallet.
