When we hear of lights, Diya, lamps, decorations, shopping, Pooja, and gifts it is Deepavali. The Aura, energy and surroundings are drenched in festivity likewise every year Princeton hosted the Diwali mela on the 3rd of November with 58 stalls two lanes were covered for the Gala event and all were invited. To satisfy hungry bellies 12 food stalls were also arranged. The variety served was from chat to Pizza both veg and non-veg to crunch mocktails at a cost. Kids had a time on bouncy, Columbus, shooting etc. The evening was filled with music and a DJ at the backside. The stage was set for kids, elders and all to dance and roll. A Photo booth was set up for picture-perfect shots. The Mela commenced with a lot l of dance and fun.
Diwali Day 12th November
The lanes were deserted as all were busy decorating and preparing for the evening. Slowly the day slipped into the hands of dusk with lights shining and the lamps flickering. The quietness opened up to the sounds of bells and shankh and welcoming goddess Lakshmi to their homes.
Post pooja residents who were in town accumulated at the main gate along with kids and family congratulating all near and dear ones and bursting crackers.
For some, it was a no-cracker Diwali and for some no Diwali without a cracker the day festivities ended with food, friends family and pictures.
