In the heart of our society, Hamletians came together to bask in the joy of Deepawali at our very own Diwali Mahotsav. This much-awaited event brought us all closer and left us with cherished memories that will linger for months to come.
Our society was abuzz with excitement as the Diwali Mahotsav unfolded. Scheduled for 4 and 5 November, the celebration was filled with a kaleidoscope of colours, performances, and activities that showcased the true spirit of the Festival of Lights.
The atmosphere was electric, and the energy contagious.
One of the highlights of the event was the mesmerizing performances that took centre stage. From traditional folk dances that resonated with our culture to energetic Bollywood numbers that had us tapping our feet, the talent on display was awe-inspiring.
Our fellow Hamletians showcased their talents; we couldn’t have been prouder.
The decorations were equally enchanting, with the venue adorned in a harmonious blend of yellow, red, and pink hues. The festive ambiance was a sight to behold, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone.
The Diwali Mahotsav wasn’t just about the visual splendour; it was also about engaging activities. From tarot card readings that added an air of mystique to a plethora of interactive games and stalls, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Of course, no celebration is complete without delicious food; the food stalls at the Mahotsav did not disappoint. Like ‘All About Chicken’, ‘Tarcurry’, the boba stall and many more offered a culinary journey that tantalized our taste buds.
Nidhi, a T14 resident, had invited her colleagues from the USA to attend the Mahotsav. She says, “They had a great time at the Mela. They shopped, ate dishes that were unique experiences for them, & even shook a leg at the songs that Anupama & her orchestra entertained us with.”
The Diwali Mahotsav at One Hamlet was a testament to our strong sense of community and togetherness. It is moments like these that make our society special. This celebration of lights and happiness brought us closer; it is a memory we will cherish as Hamletians.
Thank you to the Diwali Mahotsav Organising Committee, Facilities & Security for planning this meticulously & executing it smoothly!
