The Inner Wheel Club Gurugram Swarajali’s Diwali celebration was a heartfelt event dedicated to inclusivity and empowerment, with a special focus on supporting differently-abled students from the blind school and promoting handmade fragrant flower sticks. Honouring visually impaired children, elderly participants, and women managing businesses from home, the event also hosted a Women Empowerment Fair where home chefs received Diwali orders, supporting their ventures.
The club’s leadership came together in a holistic effort, setting the tone with a graceful Ganesh Vandana performance by members. Socialites from DLF 2 graced the occasion, adding charm and enthusiasm to the celebration.
Non-profit organisations like Masoom Foundation, Dignity Foundation, Sukarma Foundation, and Niswarth Seva Foundation added vibrancy through performances and creative displays, bringing out unique talents and spreading unity. Senior citizens from the Dignity Foundation showcased their skills, while underprivileged children captivated everyone with spirited dance performances.
The event also highlighted sustainability, promoting eco-friendly Lakshmi-Ganesh idols and hand-sewn up cycled cloth bags. Through plays and presentations, children encouraged an eco-friendly Diwali, emphasising mindful celebration.
Reflecting the club’s spirit, the leadership team shared, “Together, hand in hand, step by step, we aim to move forward, including everyone on this journey. This embodies the true spirit of empowerment.”
