Collect expired medicines and deposit it with a biomedical waste disposal company for processing of waste as per Rules 2016. Yamuna in Delhi has dangerously high levels of dissolved medicines. More than 75% households discard expired medicine with regular household waste which contaminate landfills air and groundwater. They produce antibiotic resistant bugs in water and on land which comes back to us through milk, vegetables etc. So please do not throw expired medicine in your dustbin.
