Disposal of Plastic Waste Near Mother Dairy

It’s good to see residents’ growing participation in utilizing the Rotary-installed bins for plastic waste near Mother Dairy. Last week, the weekly pick-up van carried 33 kg from Anand Niketan. The residents are encouraged to join this initiative by responsibly disposing of plastic waste in the designated bin for recycling as it can make a significant impact in averting environmental challenges. However, one still finds plastic litter including bags, ice cream cups, and wrappers around Mother Dairy and on the adjacent roads which should be stopped. Around 152 kg of plastic waste has been collected from Anand Niketan till date. Let’s hope to continue this with more dedication than ever.
