A seven-day camp on the control and cure of Diabetes was organized in the lawns near Kalypso Court from Monday, 29 May to Sunday, 4 June. The camp was organized by Yog Vigyan Evam Manav Kalyan Trust under the supervision of SP Gupta.
100+ people attended the camp and benefitted. Arrangements for blood collection for monitoring glucose level was done on the spot. The participants were taught the correct method of doing various asanas like Vajrasana, Mandukasana, Tadasana, Vakrasan, Katichakrasana, etc, and Pranayam like Kapalbhati, Gahri lambi saans, and Anulom Vilom.
These yogic asanas help in Diabetes management by increasing the secretion of insulin from the Pancreas. The participants were advised on how to control Diabetes by modifications in diet and lifestyle.
Sri Gupta talked about how adding simple yogic practice to our daily regime is a way to keep Diabetes under control. He talked about the symptoms and the complications associated with this disease.
He advised on what foods should be eaten and what foods should be avoided. He said that the main cause of Diabetes was irregular lifestyle and diet.
Dr. Vipin Jain talked about how Diabetes is increasing day by day. Even children are becoming diabetes patients nowadays. He explained that Diabetes is of two types, Genetic, and Type 2.
He said that even genetic Diabetes can be cured by Yoga, Pranayam, positive thinking, and proper diet.
Dr. JN Pandey talked about how natural ingredients from our kitchen can help in Diabetes management. Shuddhi Kriyas like Jal Neti, Sutra Neti, and Kunjal were demonstrated and taught.
The camp was conducted smoothly with the help of volunteers like Amita Jagwan, Vipula Sharma, Kishan Gupta, Babita, Shruti, Mamta Varshney, and others.
