With immense happiness and Sewa Bhav(spirit of service), Sangat and families of Prateek Wisteria celebrated the 554th Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Guruji was the founder of Sikhism and the First Sikh Guru of the Ten Sikh Gurus. The present Guru is Guru Granth Sahib ji.
This year, Prateek Wisteria Sangat collectively planned two programs. Sri Akhand Paath Sahib was planned from November 17 to 19 and then annual evening Kirtan Darbar on December 2 evening.
With the divine blessings of Guru Maharaj, both the Guru Darbars programs went off well. Sangat from Wisteria and nearby societies also arrived on both days.
In line with the Sikh principles of Sewa, large number of families from Prateek Wisteria prepared the langar and served one and all. Kids took special interest in the Langar service.
Special duties were allocated to all members and it was heartening to see everyone coming forward to do Sewa with Tan ( physical sewa), Man ( Sewa with Heart) and Dhan ( Monetary Sewa).
On December 2, Wisteria Sangat held the evening Kirtan Diwan. The Diwan started with an exciting Gurmat Quiz for kids followed by Sri Rehras Sahib Paath, Kirtan by Wisterian kids and by renowned Raagis and Katha Vachaks. The evening Diwan ended with Samapti and Bhog. This was followed by Guru Ka Langar which was prepared by entire Wisteria and nearby Sangat together.
Prateek Wisteria Sangat seeks Gurujis blessings to continue the programs in the years to come.
