Sectors of Noida are a combination of independent houses and multi-storeyed apartments inside a complex. In older sectors apartment complexes were few and the majority was of private houses. However, due to change in the pattern of living and cost of construction/maintenance and more demand for apartments, the sector planning has changed to larger apartment complexes. The newly developed Sectors 92 and 93B (in the group of 93, comprising 93/93A/93B, only 93B has independent houses) have now come of age – the look and functioning of organized colonies – after more than a decade of hard work put in by the residents, especially those teaming up in Residents Welfare Associations.
In a new sector with most of the plots lying vacant, a lot of efforts and hard work goes in getting the basic infrastructure in place by those who got their house constructed early and dared to shift with their families when fencing walls were incomplete, roads not tarred and erratic electricity supply.
Moving to the present days… it is heartening and a sense of satisfaction to see basic infrastructure in place; the parks have been developed well and the overall ambiance peaceful. However this is just the beginning!
There are many areas where much has to be done and the incomplete work needs to be finished properly. The work of pursuing with the various departments of Noida Authority, the telecom companies, the power supply system, etc. is a task. Residents have to put in much time and efforts, along with their regular life routine.
The pandemic lockdown phase stopped the development work for 2–3 years. Since a year much has been done.
Samvada team has closely seen the coming up of this side of Noida since more than a decade now. Last week we took a round of the sectors, after 3 years, and were impressed to see the amount of change, the cleanliness and organized living. Unlike the multi-storeyed residential complexes that get constructed by the builders first and then sold out, the plotted houses have to bear the pain of having the construction going around simultaneously. But the pain has an ultimate gain of a peaceful life!
