The nallah has always been one of the main issues discussed in our colony. Regarding its faulty covering, gas fumes emanating from it and also the foul smell which is a curse for residents staying in its vicinity. Not only smell it causes damage to electrical hardware like Air conditioners. Its unproper desilting has resulted it back flow of rain water into houses during monsoons causing flooding of basements and stilts.
This year thanks to the initiative of our MLA Dr Madan Lal, Councillor Anita Sandeep Baisoya and President RWA Veena Khanna desilting of the Nallah has been taken up by the MCD three months in advance. A long forked JCB has been deployed at the open end towards the ring road and RLS road side. The staff has been quite successful it taking out a huge mountain of silt which after drying will be picked up by the trucks.
To further take up the operation super suckers will also be deployed all along the nallah. Hope this operation will help in solving the major issues.
Central Park! As highlighted in the last edition the Central Park was in a pathetic condition with garbage spilled all over thanks to the passerby maids who think it as their birth right to throw garbage all around. Our councillor Anita Sandeep Baisoya personally visited the area and deputed a permanent staff to take care of the 8-acre area. This has also borne results which has been appreciated by residents on the councillor group. Apart from this beautification drive that is being carried out on the periphery of the park, new saplings have been planted and are irrigated through water tankers. Hope fully change will be visible very soon.
