Last week, rain not only caused serious damage to a number of houses in the Colony ruining everything which came in its way but also made the colony look like a flooded plain with black smelly silt from Central Nallah all around especially on the side roads of the nallah and near the club . The situation at the club was so bad that it had to be closed for 4 days. .It was impossible to reach the club with smelly black silt around. The colony looked like a flood basin. The Councillor Anita Sandeep Baisoya personally took charge of the situation and initiated the process of picking up silt around the colony. Even those drains which were desilted got blocked again are being opened by deploying jetting machines. The process is currently continuing. Madam councillor has asked the staff to expedite the process and arranged trucks and staff from other depts. so that before the next rain the silt gets cleared and doesn’t cause blocking of flow of rain water.
