The much-awaited dense recarpeting of Hans Raj Gupta Marg, which is about 1.6 Km long, was done at super speed, thru the funds of Urban development department of Delhi Govt & executed by PWD, at the behest of our MLA, Saurabh Bhardwaj (Now minister). The reported cost including two more nearby roads is around Rs. 2.30 crores. Proper reflective markings have been done, which is a delight, while night driving. However, attention of authorities is drawn towards the poorly maintained pavements, encroachments on the road sides by several vendors, builders & security huts, etc. The poor pedestrian has to walk on the main road itself as there is no smooth walking area. It is well known that most of the victims of road accidents are pedestrians because of the absence of proper walk ways.
