Lady Running Chanda Momos Had
Altercation with our Guards
Samvada News Bureau
On 18 Sep there was a huge commotion at Jaipuria Plaza. It had to do with delivery boys of Swiggy and Zomato who park their vehicles in the lane outside the market (outside Late VC Jain’s house). A guard was apparently asking them to park their vehicles on the main road (outside Gate 1) instead of inside the sector. This led to an altercation with the lady running the stall of Chanda Momos screaming and shouting at the guard.
Later it was found that the tables placed by Chanda Momos had gone. And the huge jaal (metal extensions) outside the shop were missing too (in broken down state). They had placed tandoors and momos cooking/serving counters there.
The lady behind the counter was cribbing to a customer.
The story is that on Tues 13th Sept, some people turned up at Chanda Momos with a ‘bulldozer’, saying that they have a letter from Noida Authority (signed up Ritu Maheshwari) to pull down illegal extension of Chanda Momos. No other explanation was given. They pulled down the extensions. No other shop that had extended counters was touched nor were any other thelas. (She alleged that she was asked to pay one lakh to continue or else her shop was next.)
Some customer told her that Ritu Maheshwari is available on Fridays from 10am-12pm to meet public at Sec 6 office. So she went on Friday 16 Sept to meet her who graciously listened to the lady. She sounded surprised to hear that only this lady’s shop was targeted and assured her that she will personally visit Jaipuria plaza.
The lady was cribbing that she wants to know who complained about her business. The customer she was cribbing to said that every complainant to Noida Authority needs to give his/her name and aadhar card. So he advised her to pay 500 or 1000 to the peon at NA office and get the information.
