Thanks to the management and team of C Block Club and the tireless efforts of Saguna and mother volunteers, this Christmas, stalls for the celebration in C Block Club were organized for the kids by the kids themselves. Here are some stories of experiences shared by kids.
1. My 1st Christmas Stall
We set up a stall at our very own Defence Colony Clubs Xmas Carnival. It had everything I had wanted in my stall. From games to pinboards and nameplates. From chocolate and vanilla cookies to my favourite chocolate mousse! The cookies and mousse took a lot of time and hard work, but it was so much fun because I also got to do it all along with my mom (minus the occasional scolding for adding to the mess and chaos in the kitchen). Every time I sold a cookie, I went and played a game at another stall. It was the best day ever! Riana Bhagat
2. My first Christmas stall experience.
This Christmas, I had an amazing experience putting up my very first stall at our Colony’s Christmas Carnival in the DC(WA) Club. I planned fun Christmas games like “Collect the Bells,” “Swap the Ornaments,” “Decode the Pasta,” and more. Watching everyone enjoy it made me so happy! I even gave out small gifts to the winners. Managing the stall taught me how to stay organized, be confident, and interact with people of all ages. Thank you, Saguna aunty, for giving me this opportunity.Viaan Singhal
3. Is this Christmas better or the same?
This time in our Defence Colony carnival, my friend Hazel and I decided to put up a games stall! There was a game where there were bows on plates and matching bows on paper cups. You had to throw a ball in one of the plates, and where your ball landed, the matching cup had your prize. There was another game where you had to blow cotton off cups at a given time. Hazel and I also made bookmarks to sell at our stall. They looked like Christmas trees and Santa. We had delicious candies, lollipops, five-star jellies, stationery, and even head massagers as prizes. It was the best. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays. Hazel & Nysa
