A Unique Spiritual Experience
Gorgeous ladies dressed in bright and colourful attire graced the event.
They were welcomed with the traditional teeka.
Soon they were requested to proceed to enjoy hot snacks and special sweets along with hot tea/coffee.
It was lovely to see all the women exchanging greetings and engaged in gup-shup, complimenting each other.
The ambience created was warm and vibrant, in sync with the theme of the event.
A ladies event is incomplete without a selfie/photo opp corner – the photo shoots created immense excitement and the beautifully-crafted selfie corner was crowded with our charming and fun-loving ladies. Happiness was writ large on their faces.
It was time for the thoughtfully-designed cultural event, which commenced by invoking the blessings of Ma Saraswati, followed by the much-awaited नृत्य नाटिका Ma Sita and Lord Ram’s Swaymvar prasang… glimpses of puspvatika scene were presented by graceful dancers. The semi-classical dance performance was ingeniously choreographed and received an overwhelming response from the audience. The dance moves and the facial expressions of the dancers blended perfectly with the lyrics and music.
Next was a solo dance performance by Ms Wazir, a Kathak exponent. The energy, emotions and expressions exhibited by her were indeed captivating! She enthralled the audience, which was obvious by the thunderous applause echoing in the hall.
Soon after, the floor was set for the bhajans sung by Mr Ashique Kumar, who is visiting faculty in the Music & Fine Arts Department of DU. He was accompanied by percussionists Mr Jha and Satish Solanki.
The bhajans by Mr Ashique took the spiritual journey to yet another level and the audience swayed in rhythm, happily singing along. Some were even inspired to join the musicians on the floor, dancing to the foot-tapping rhythm, lost in a meditative haze.
The cultural programme was refreshing, rejuvenating and an exceptional experience.
Neeta Dogra, President, and Swaran Lata, Vice President, felicitated all the dancers and musicians and presented a token of appreciation to each one.
It was time to felicitate the Prime Sponsor of the cultural event – Migsun Group. Goldy Miglani was felicitated with a token of gratitude on behalf of the Ladies Club Organising Committee.
The aesthetically-curated exhibition of diverse and exquisite products was opened for the women to browse through, which added zing to the event.
In the midst of the entire fun & frolic, photo sessions with friends continued to create a buzz and plenty of laughter.
After the thrill-packed programme, it was time to savour an amazing spread of delicious dishes put together by the 15A Club chefs. Everyone relished the lunch, bonding beautifully and one could feel the bonhomie of the group in every nook and corner of the hall.
The members of the Ladies Club Organising Committee were complimented for arranging a marvellous Deepawali Utsav.
We extend our gratitude to Ms Nidhi Bansal for conducting the program meticulously with impromptu punches.
We convey our sincere thanks to Harpreet Gupta, Alka Kishore, Monika Kapoor, Yogita Bhasin, Ruma Kohli and Meghana Jindal for their valuable contribution to make the event a great success.
The grandeur of Deepawali Utsav and its impeccable execution was possible due to the effort of Neeta Dogra, President; Swaran Lata Gupta, VP; Kartika Pahuja, Treasurer and Meenakshi Handa, Member.
We are grateful to the members of Club 15A’s EC for extending support for the smooth organisation of the Ladies Club Event.
