Performing Dandiya and Garba are an integral part of Navratri celebrations . Considered to be a folk dance of Gujarat, it is widely performed and enjoyed all
over India with great enthusiasm and energy.
Here too, Dandiya nights were held in Prateek Wisteria on 1 and 2 ( sixth and seventh day of Navratri)
It was an event filled with colorful dresses , lights and mesmerising dances
The event started with small kids group performing dandiya mentored by Smitha, Reena , Kanika, Neha and Vineeta . Some of our senior ladies too performed and danced their heart out on the beats of music
Around 200 ladies gave dandiya performance with coordinated dance steps in various groups which was beautiful to watch and was covered by a drone video camera as well.
The space to perform dandiya was open for all after these performances so the residents could enjoy with friends and family on the foot tapping tunes.
The Navratri events were organised and managed by Naveen and Neeraj, resident Prateek wisteria along with support from AOA office bearers.
