When the community was celebrating Navaratri, Dandiya night was also organised by the Condominium to mark the culture of western India, on 9th of October and the celebration lasted for 4 hours.
Women, men and kids attired appropriately came out of their flats towards the basketball court which was well lighted and decorated.
It looked as though pearls were spread out of their string and entered the dancing floor. The residents especially youngsters, attired in their outfits, looked gorgeous. All of them assembled on the ground and started their traditional dances elaborately. Friends and family members formed groups according to their age group and it was a spectacular sight.
Seniors were seated at the periphery of the ground to enjoy the evening. Eatery stalls were spread out towards one of the edges of the ground. Food representing different states of our country were served at the stalls displaying a true account of national integration.
Bollywood songs were played with pomp and show and the dancers matched their moves with the tune and rhythm of the hit songs. It was a rare occasion to rejoice with family and friends just outside our home sweet home.
The residents enjoyed the traditional dances and the kids dancing in tiny circles with elegant moves were a favourite sight of everyone present there. The condominium took utmost care to make the Dandiya night a memorable one. The president and his team members left no stone unturned to make the event a grand success.
