Now..!!! For the first time ever, a ‘Dandiya Night’ was organized in NFC, and and and… once again, it was the same duo (Rahul Chhabra and Puja Jain) behind the scenes displaying their organizational skills, management from the word go and lots of action. The entire atmosphere was filled with exuberance, excitement, laughter and positive energy by several residents. For the first time ever, the organizers were, with a heavy heart, constrained to announce pre-ticket sales as ‘closed’ with the further announcement that ‘no tickets would be sold at the venue’….whew !!!
A “Dandiya Night” is known to be a vibrant and energetic celebration that brings together communities to enjoy the rich cultural heritage of India, particularly during the festival of Navratri. This is exactly what THE NITE was for the colony, residents, their relatives and friends. It was an absolute lively event marked by rhythmic music, colorful attire and most importantly, presence of residents and their participation which made efforts put in by the duo see success.
The venue was decorated with flowers, light balls, puppets, colourful dupattas and gujrati and rajasthani umbrelleas etc. Dandiya Sticks were nicely stacked on a table. All residents were requested to join in the Dandiya Dance with each strike of the dandiya stick embodying the spirit of joy and togetherness. The evening saw the atmosphere of celebration with residents dressed in traditional attire, with women donning beautiful ghagras and men wearing kurtas. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as families and friends gathered, ready to dance the night away. Participants formed circles and engaged in synchronized movements, clapping and striking sticks in time with the lively music. The beats of traditional Garba and modern tunes blended together, inviting everyone to join in the fun. It was not just a DANCE, but IT WAS A CELEBRATION OF COMMUNITY SPIRIT AND JOY. It was as if each movement was telling a story, and every song played evoked nostalgia. It sure seemed a night where generations came together, sharing laughter and creating cherished memories. There was a sense of camaraderie fostering friendship and strengthening community bonds. At the “Dandiya Night”, participants embraced the spirit of the celebration. All of them just shed all inhibitions and just allowed the rhythm to guide them. All present celebrated the joy of togetherness, the beauty of tradition, and the vibrant culture that connects us all. Everyone present had a fantastic time creating unforgettable memories !!!
