On Saturday, 20 April, Meghdutam Rangmanch invited Abha Abhivyakti Cultural Forum, led by Abha Atre, to present a dance concert of popular Bollywood songs through the ages, starting from the black and white era to the contemporary times.
The programme commenced with black and white golden era of Bollywood songs. It was followed by a retrospective of 1950 to 60 Bollywood numbers. Artists were attired in black and white. This was followed by a number of songs from 1970 to 2000 or so.
Tributes were paid to Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit through a mashup that was mesmerising and captivating. Following this young girls performed contemporary dances. Their mothers were also no less; they were equally good. Dance is like wine, it matures with every performance. No wonder alI performances were very captivating and expressive. In the end all performers together presented “Kisi ki muskurahaton pe ho nisar”. This is the motto of Abhivyakti Forum. The programme was flawless, without any break, and thoroughly enjoyed by all as much as the artists enjoyed putting up the show.
Meghdutam Rangmanch intends to collaborate with other music and dance troupes in the future.
