Cycle Theft Leads to Security Outrage on the C Block Group!

On 27 Mar a resident of C- 115 posted on the group that today someone has stolen the bicycle of our first-floor tenants, it was kept inside gate no -4, we checked the CCTV foot age from the RWCS and the thief could be seen but could not identify the boy who has stolen.

Subsequently a major controversy on the whatsapp group started regarding closing and opening of gates.

The resident posted that this gate should be closed for ever, lot of miscreants walk in here as it is close to Nithari and there are people from criminal background who have set up their ‘Jhuggis’ on the nala to keep a watch and break in when they get an opportunity. No other sector is so vulnerable, because of our personal comforts and more for not self but for maids. Let’s take a hard call and shut this for ever, and use the gate open at Police post. It is causing more harm than petty gains. Some residents were in favour of keeping the gate open. Finally, RW&CS decided to open the Gate “with security gaurd from 8 am to 12 Noon and from 5 pm to 9 pm.

Subsequently, on 11 Apr RWCS security committee meeting was called Mr Amit, Sub Inspector UP Police, in-charge of Sec 26 with other Police officials, Sanjeev Duggal in-charge Security Committee, JP Dhaundiyal, OP Bansal and Rajesh Yadav of Security Company were present.
Sub Inspector stated that the entry and exit gates should be minimized. He assured all in the meeting that police petrol in the sector will be increased. President Govind Sharma and others agreed that out siders’ bikes and scooters entry and exits shall be permitted only from gate No 14 with entry of vehicles and IDs. Other gates shall be used by the Members and residents only.

Unfortunately, after some objections were raised by some residents the issue of Car/Scooter Stickers was put on hold. People were vehemently opposing that neither phone no nor mobile no should be put on the stickers.

To put an end to this controversy J P Dhaundiyal suggested that we should design a code number for each house that can be displayed on the stickers.
