Councillor In Hyperactive Mode After MLA Elections

As we all know, the MCD councillor elections were held last year, in which a double-engine team of AAP was elected to look after civic issues, but due to poor planning and coordination, there was hardly any work done, and most of the residents kept begging for basic civic services. Thanks to the latest MLA elections and the new BJP government, the AAP councillor also shifted to the new party. The councillor opened a new helpline group and, with the support of RWA, is now seen to be quite active in responding to the issues with pictures.

The residents are feeling much better to at least share their civic issues, but the major problem is that all these activities are done in “fire-fighting mode,” which is not sufficient to provide a long-term solution, as we have more than 6000 dwelling units, more than 200 service lanes, more than 25 parks, etc., which need to have a proper plan and professional execution. The roads are in worse condition and need lots of funds from the government. The monsoon is approaching, but the condition of sewers all over is pathetic and will result in water logging if not done immediately. Let’s hope with positive minds to see some developments in the colony as we have a “triple engine sarkar” in Delhi.

God bless Def Col!!
