Government has passed the legislation for right to education but it’s success depends more on public participation in this mission. Beti Bachao and Beti Parao should be the theme before every citizen to provide best opportunity to girl child together with other children in the family to pursue education. No body has tried to examine and analyze the reasons for higher ratio of dropout number of school children.
One Mali working in Kalibari temple was confronted with difficulties to buy books for his daughter studying in 8th class in public school situated in poor residential colonies. It’s rather a constrain for him to buy books and for his daughters and he approached from one book donor to another book doner to get books. Gunjan Jain also tried to find books for his daughter but was not able to find the required books in nearby local market. Pradeep Goel, another generous resident of Sector who had generously contributed food items during lockdown period called the Mali and gave him the money to buy books for his daughter and it became a matter of great pleasure for the entire family to get free books for family member to pursue her education.
My appeal to corporate houses, operating in Sector need to consider at least to provide books to the school going children of their employees in order to share their social responsibility towards fulfilment of aim of right to education.
