Converting Trash to Treasure

Pre School children have an amazing amount of energy and curiosity. This is what I capitalised on, when my granddaughter’s school invited me to conduct a session on composting.

I spoke with the children for about five minutes, wherein I apprised them about how the Earth, our only home, was sad and heated up because of the amount of garbage we dump on it. Following this, the children excitedly put in twigs, leaves and vegetable peels into the compost pit which had been made on the school premises. The Teachers promised to replicate the session with the rest of the children.

I assured the Teachers of active hand- holding as they continue their exercise of converting Trash to Treasure.
