Several new Rain water harvesting pits have been made in SDA. Residents feel that it is a sheer waste of public money as the reconstruction of already existing pis was not necessary. What was needed was the maintenance and cleaning of existing Pits. This is the view of a majority of residents that such wasteful expenditure can be easily avoided by the elected representatives. Three RWH pits had to be made then they should have been made these different location at so the water could have been trapped at different locations. It seems to have become a regular feature of floating tenders for new projects whereas these can be easily avoided and a lot of money can be saved by maintaining the old structures. This kind of expenditure is totally uncalled for.
