Community refrigerator has been stationed near gate no. 2, Friends Colony East. This is an initiative of a young lady, Nandini Bhartia, a resident of the colony. She inaugurated the community refrigerator on the 11th of February 2025. The concept of this refrigerator is to save food from being spoilt and wasted. She encourages residents to send their fresh, home, and restaurant leftovers to this refrigerator so that it is consumed by the hungry. She also hopes to use sweets, distributed in abundance, during festivals. Many crave sweet delicacies but cannot afford to buy them. This refrigerator is a blessing for many. In the coming summer months, it will provide cool drinking water for passersby.
