In an attempt to further its dedication to public health, the Indian Cancer Society, under the supervision of Dr. Santosh Sahi (B-497 NFC) organized a ‘Health Camp’ in collaboration with NFC RWA (Ashoka Park)
on 30.11.2024. Held at the lawns of the RWA office on Ashoka Park Road, the camp attracted many participants, especially ladies with young children to elderly residents seeking routine check-ups and health advice. The objective was to provide accessible healthcare services to residents, regardless of their socio-economic status, and focus on preventing diseases, promoting health awareness, and offering essential medical services to those who might otherwise neglect their health due to financial barriers. The examinations were carried out by qualified healthcare professionals who included vital checks such as blood pressure, blood sugar, CBC, cancer checks, mammography etc. Participants met with specialists in areas such as cardiology, physio, general physician etc. Who provided tailored advice and addressed specific health concerns helping participants understand their health better. The success of the health camp was largely due to the enthusiastic participation of local volunteers, health workers, and members of the community. Residents expressed gratitude for the opportunity to receive free medical advice and services. Many participants reported that they had not had a check-up in years, highlighting the event’s importance in providing necessary health services to those who are underserved. As we move forward, let us build on this momentum, committing to regular health initiatives that keep our community informed, healthy, and engaged. Together, we can pave the way for a brighter, healthier future for all residents.
