ECO park within S Block Park was well decorated with our national flags in preparation for the unfurling of the flag at 11am.
A huge tall pole was fixed with National flag having rose petals & boundaries well decorated with flowers.
Patriotic songs were played from 10.45 am onwards. Saurabh Bhardwaj was invited for the ceremony.
As per past practice flag was unfurled by the senior most retired armed forces veteran, Brig SC Gupta of S 462 with the singing of National anthem.
S Block is lucky to have many senior retired & serving armed forces veterans amongst us.
Hot tea & piping hot “Samosas” were served to all. Many residents were seen clicking selfies with the flag, fluttering high.
Saurabh Bhardwaj delivered a short speech, extending his greetings to residents on this occasion. Around one hundred residents enjoyed the nice weather, tea & samosas.
