Holi, the festival of colors, brought immense joy and unity within our community this year. To honor its significance, various celebrations took place, ensuring justice to its auspicious nature.
The festivities commenced with ‘Holika Dahan,’ organized by the Nishkam Foundation. The evening was filled with cultural performances, including the vibrant Raas Lila, followed by the traditional Holi Dahan ceremony. Attendees relished a hearty dinner, marking a delightful start to the celebrations. The jubilation continued the next morning with a colorful Holi celebration including various engaging games and lucky draw with exciting prices and titles accompanied by delectable Old Delhi delicacies.
The spirit of Holi extended to multiple venues, with the Punjabi Mahasabha hosting another vibrant celebration. Exciting games, lucky draws, and a tantalizing spread of Old Delhi street food kept the crowd engaged and entertained.
Moreover, Holi was celebrated innovatively by Vipin Yadav in J Block, who spread joy through Phoolo Ki Holi, using flowers to embrace the festive spirit and bringing together the community.
Notably, the Mandir Sammiti of Gauri Shanker Mandir N12 DLF2 added to the festivities with their Phoolon Ki Holi celebration on March 22nd, 2024. Led by Mrs. Veenu Kalra and her team from Shyam Sakhi Mandal, residents and devotees of Lord Krishna gathered to seek blessings from Maa Radha Ji and Prabhu Krishna between 4 PM to 6 PM.
To engage young toddlers and their moms together in the festive festivities OPG world school celebrated Phoolo ki holi engaging the amazing duo of mother and child with activities like making coconut laddoos, card making, and pottery for kids and parents. Kids enjoyed thoroughly. Refreshments and parting gift were given to all the kids as shared by an attendee Mother Archita; in essence, Holi 2024 was not just a festival but a unifying force that brought our community together in a colorful tapestry of joy and celebration.
