The maintenance of our parks is of utmost importance to ensure these green spaces remain green and continue to provide environmental and aesthetic benefits to the resi-dents. The jhuggi cluster in S Block behind Mother Dairy continues to be of nuisance. The dwellers come late in the night, consume liquor and throw the bottles around. The children come to play but pluck flowers and sometimes uproot the plants. The wall is fenced with barbed wires and Security men also do the rounds. But they still manage to create nuisance. A new iron gate is being installed at the entrance. This gate will be locked in the night and also for a few hours in the afternoon. As of now, it was go-through gate which was being used by the residents to walk and misused by the miscreants. With the new gate which can be locked, the security will be enhanced. New plants have been planted and infrastructure maintenance is also being looked into. Benches, lights, regular weeding and pruning of plants and trees is taken care of by the dedicated team of maalis and overseen by the MC. The other park behind HDFC Bank is being taken care of Mr. Pankaj Vats from the MC. A lovely area with benches has been marked where the residents can sit and chat or walk and chat or only chat, lovely plants and trees and a well laid out track is in place. A fresh batch of plants are planted in all the parks and we are looking forward to seeing colourful flower beds and lush green trees very soon come winters. Other members from the MC along with a few volunteers have also come together to maintain and recreate the green spaces and keep the colony neat and clean. If all of us take responsibility of the cleanliness of our buildings and parks in our blocks, lot will be achieved. Let us join hands and come forward for maintenance issues.
