On July 2008, the Collegium of Senior Citizens was formed to provide social, academic, cultural and healthy opportunities and implementing effective measures for social security and welfare of the members. The idea was to take up various issues related to seniors through RWCS and Club-26 but many members today feel that the collegium has diverted from its objectives. Therefore, the members’ participation had been very low in the last few months. This year, 15 new memberships were given to revive the activities. The contributory lunch was organized on 28th August 2024 in Club-26 to celebrate the birthdays and anniversaries of the members falling in that month. In this event, many new members were seen and few senior citizens of the sector were also called in to join the collegium. The executive committee of Collegium of Senior Citizens Welfare Association has approved to increase the contribution from Rs 350 to 400 per member to meet the expenses. The formalities for renewal of registration certificate have been completed with the Dy. Registrar, Firms, Chits and Societies (New Office) Ghaziabad.
