From Vision to Reality:
With great enthusiasm, Club-26 proudly unveiled its latest additions: a modern Squash court and a special All-Weather Swimming pool on 30 March 2024. The inauguration event was celebrated amid much excitement, signalling a fresh start for sports lovers in Sec 26. The serene fountain has been substituted with a lively squash court, aiming to expand the range of sports activities available for the members’ enjoyment.
The squash court has been meticulously designed by a seasoned professional who is associated with the Sports Authority of India. They have previously installed similar courts across Delhi NCR. The old swimming pool, which used to be 9 feet deep, underwent a significant makeover to comply with the regulations of the Noida Authority. It has now been reconstructed into an all-weather pool with a maximum depth of 6 feet. This will allow members to enjoy swimming even in the cold winters, making the pool one of its kind in Noida.
The inauguration festivities were highlighted by Mohit Oberoi, a renowned singer and a proud resident of Sec 26. He set the perfect tone for an evening of celebration with the Sufi Shamiyana, as members and their families swayed to his soulful melodies. The party drew a gathering of 400-500 people. There was a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies and refreshing drinks, served on a paid basis.
Addressing the gathering, RK Khosla, President of Club-26, expressed his pride in fulfilling the promises made during the elections. With a steadfast commitment to providing the best amenities for its members, he assured that the journey towards excellence would continue. Plans for the renovation of the indoor badminton court and the club reception are already under progress, while initiatives such as the member card system are aimed at incentivizing more residents to join the club’s vibrant community. The club aims to revolutionize leisure and recreation in Sec 26 with top-notch facilities and a vibrant social calendar.
