Club 26 Successfully Organizes Sports Carnival 2023

Sport is a way to fitness that energizes you with positivity and freshens your mind. With this thought, Club 26 successfully organized the Sports Carnival for the year 2023. Various competitions were held across different categories. The Sports Committee, convened by Girish Aneja and co-convened by Rohan Mitra, played a key role in organising the events smoothly.
The tournaments conducted on the first day of the carnival, 29 Jan, included carom, chess, pool table and table tennis. The winners and runner ups were awarded a trophy. Carom champions were Vikas Bansal (1st) and Ansh Porwal (runner up). Chess masters were Aman Goel (1st) and Aarav Bansal (runner up). The winner for pool table was Aman Goel and runner up was Bhuvan Sibal. In table tennis, there were 4 categories. Under 18 women: Saanvi (1st), Mishika Oberoi (runner up); Women: Mridula Raj (1st), Neha Thapliyal (runner up); under 14 boys: Tegh Oberoi (1st), Garv Arora (runner up); Men: Nikhil Arora (1st), Suresh Khatwani (runner up).

The second day of the carnival was dedicated to the memory of Late Kusum Khosla, wife of RK Khosla (President Club 26). A cricket tournament was organized on 5 Feb, which consisted of 4 quarter-finals, 2 semi-finals and the final match. Each team had 8 players with ages varying from 10 to 65 years. RK Khosla graciously sponsored the tournament and awarded the winning teams total cash prizes worth Rs. 50,000.

The winning team included Saurabh, Rajat Mehrotra, Ravinder Saini, Dhruv Gupta, Sachin Sharma, Prakrit Aneja, Nitin Vohra and Vansh Porwal and were awarded Rs. 21,000 and trophies.

The runner up team included Ajay Bhatia, Ansh Porwal, Rahul Kumar, Aniket Porwal, Saksham, Prateek Chalani, Yogesh Chaithley and Parth Aneja and were awarded Rs. 11,000 and trophies.

The Man of the Match of the finals was Nitin Vohra and Man of the Series was Aniket Porwal. The Man of the Match for league and semi-final matches were Prakrit Aneja, Aniket Porwal, Saksham, Nehal Singh, Manav Lakhina and Rajat Mehrotra.
