On account of world cleanliness day on September 17, RWA and an NGO jointly organised a cleanliness programme on September 11 in the morning. A rally was organised in the sector for the work force and safai karmchari’s awareness drive towards keeping our surrounding clean. T shirts and caps were distributed to all participants and a quiz and awareness session were conducted for the residents. A guidance session for the residents was also conducted on waste management. Around 45 safai karmcharies, RWA officials and residents attended the drive. It ended with snacks.
A hygiene talk was also conducted by environment expert Gurpreet Kaur at sector 39 library in C block market at 12 noon on September 11. She advised maids and ladies about waste segregation, 3R (reduce, reuse , recycle) concept and safe disposal of sanitary napkins. Around 40 ladies & maids participated and benefitted. The programme ended with snacks being served for all.
