Cleaning Rain Water Harvesting pits is essential to maintain their effectiveness and ensure the quality of collected water. Due to Covid, the cleaning could not be done and the Community Welfare and Out Reach sub committee has taken up the initiative. Some residents have volunteered to join hands with the Committee Members. They have identified 23 RWH pits out of which 5 are situated in the Club and the remaining in the Colony. The pits are being desilted first and then inspected for any cracks or damages. If found any, the pits will be repaired. Rain Water Harvest pits play a vital role in water conservation and regular cleaning is crucial to prevent accumulation of debris, silt and contaminants that could compromise water quality. The job of cleaning and repairing is going on at full speed and soon the RWH pits would be functional.
