The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) took place on December 1st this year. The law entrance exam is conducted every year and aspirants are known to dedi-cate a year, if not more, of their time towards preparation for this exam. Students resort to crash courses or enroll in coaching institutes, and juggle their final year of studies in school that too in the face of the looming board exams.
This year however students had to face a paper riddled with blatant errors in the questions themselves. After the release of the official answer key, it was further observed that the consortium had apparently simply ignored many of the obvious errors and this prompted a student to file a case against the consortium. This led to an order of revision from the Delhi High Court to the Consortium in response to which the Consortium is now appealing to the Supreme Court.
Students across the country now face the uncertainty of revision of results as well as delay in allotment and admission. As a student and fellow aspirant, I hope that the entire ordeal resolves itself reasonably and does not affect me in an unwarranted manner.
