Christmas has a different vibe in Delhi NCR. As the winter chills set in the city, the twinkling lights of Christmas bring forth the warmth and good cheer to thaw the frost. Many people, irrespective of the fact that they follow or don’t follow the faith, participate in the Christmas festivities with gusto.
Children love Christmas for more reasons, Santa Claus being one! It’s good to believe in Santa Claus. It’s good to believe that there is someone who comes laden with gifts, hope, and love without expecting anything in return. Children learn two important things- to give unconditionally and receive with gratitude.
Cedar Crest also saw a celebration of Christmas at Shilpa Mangal’s house, who along with Rati Agarwal and Aashima organised a party for kids. Kiran Mittal happily played Santa’s role. They organised activities like Secret Santa, sang Christmas songs, and cut the Christmas cake.
The concept of Secret Santa teaches the kids that each gift comes with love, no matter who has given it. The identity of givers is hidden. So, each child becomes a Secret Santa.
Another Christmas party was organised at Aspen Greens by Anu Garg. She had put together a wonderful celebration for kids that included play activities too.
The mothers did a wonderful job by bringing the kids together for the multiple celebrations. On a side note, the Nirvana Courtyard was bedecked with Christmas decorations.
The elements of the festival, such as the tree, stars, wreaths, reindeer, Santa’s caps, decorations for the tree, candy sticks, etc. were displayed by various vendors across the market.
Overall, the vibe, verve, and vibrancy were very evident across all of Nirvana.
