Christmas and New Year-Fun n Frolic

Holiday Club was happening on 31st December!! The josh was high on the New year’s Eve. The residents are always looking forward to celebration Party in the Holiday Club. The Christmas Carnival on 25th December was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The lobby, tastefully decorated a few days prior to 25th became a picture point for the visitors and set their mood for celebrations. On the day of Christmas, the weather was unexpectedly warm, people dressed in red, green and black but the unusual heat kept the long coats away from many of the revellers. Children thoroughly enjoyed the lady composer’s games/riddles and lots of gifts were distributed to them. She also made the elders join the party and shake a leg or two. Sumptuous snacks, gol-gappe, fish -in -style, chicken and a variety of other dishes added to the fun of the day. A buggy ride on the main road outside, a small train on the lawns, were the centre of attraction for the kids. A Santa dressed in his iconic costume with his team walked around in the decked up front lawns and entertained everyone present. Anew payment system was introduced by the MC but had its teething problems. A card had to be purchased and a security fee of Rs. 100/- was taken. Maybe the authorities need to smoothen the system and make it seamless.

The 31st night had a new theme of  Black and Golden. The entrance, the gallery even the floor wore shiny black slabs which some people felt scary to walk on. The lobby with the new décor made it a much sought after selfie and a picture point.  The senior citizens were once again sent a special invite, who otherwise would not have been comfortable to step out in the cold weather. This time, two cards valid for drinks were issued to them. But they too had to purchase the cards for food items. However, they enjoyed the music, some even found it too loud..well at their age!!! But some enjoyed dancing on the favourite numbers. All in all a good and fun way to celebrate the NewYear’s Eve.
